"Cities and the Global Agenda: On the road to the U20 in Buenos Aires" was a parallel event to The United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development in July 2018. This was a full day conference which featured a discussion of the role of cities in the HLPF as well as the G20, in preparation of the Urban 20 (U20) in October 2018 in Buenos Aires. 

 

More than 20 speakers from 10 countries reflected on official and alternative methods of measuring local performance in the SDGs, urban practices that help achieve the New Urban Agenda, ways of increasing capacity for implementation, and strategies for the U20.
